SABC Sport can confirm that Sekhukhune United have signed defender Daniel Cardoso on a three-year deal.
The announcement is expected in the coming days as coach Kaitano Tembo looks to rebuild the team after he took over from MacDonald Makhubedu, who has since been given a new designation as senior coach.
Cardoso, 33, spent seven years at Kaizer Chiefs until it was announced last month that his contract would not be renewed going forward - much to the surprise of some in the football fraternity who believed his experience was still needed at Naturena.

He was one of nine players who have been offloaded by Chiefs after sporting director Kaizer Motaung Jnr took the decision to reduce the average age of the squad.
In his time with the Soweto giants, Cardoso was coached by six different coaches in Steve Komphela, Giovanni Solinas, Ernst Middendorp, Gavin Hunt, Stuart Baxter and most recently Arthur Zwane, who is now the permanent Amakhosi tactician.
Sekhukhune have been busy, releasing 14 players at the end of the season and then later confirming theyve signed six new faces¦and now Cardoso has been added to the list, as SABC Sport has been reliably informed.
