In a bid to turn the tie around, Sekhukhune manager Brandon Truter fielded new signings Keletso Makgalwa and Katlego Mohamme, while experienced players Loydt Kazapua, Thabang Monare, and Njabulo Ngcobo began the match on the bench.
Early in the match, goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner showcased his skills, making crucial saves to keep the hosts in contention.
Makgalwa opened the scoring with a well-placed shot from a quickly taken free-kick, putting Sekhukhune ahead.
However, the joy was short-lived as Lunda equalised just before half-time, capitalising on a defensive lapse from Sekhukhune during a set piece.
Determined to secure progression, Sekhukhune came out strong in the second half.
Makgalwa struck again, producing a stunning effort from the edge of the box that found the top corner.
Monare was introduced late in the game to provide experience, but despite their efforts, Lunda held firm.
Ultimately, Sekhukhune's triumph wasn't enough to overturn the aggregate score, sending the Angolans through to the group stages.
