The 51-year-old has been unattached since parting ways with The Urban Warriors after just seven matches in October last year – a decision Bartlett was vocal in insisting showed a lack of support for local coaches by the club.
Bartlett adds he will not accept just any job offer out of desperation.
"In the last eight months, I've engaged with numerous clubs – even a week or a couple of days after I left Spurs, I engaged with clubs, but I'm not that type of coach that's going to work just for the sake of earning a paycheque," said Bartlett.
"Unfortunately, that's my principles, that's why integrity that I'm not going to compromise on, so I've got a certain value as a person and as a coach, and I'm not going to undervalue that.
"Everybody wants promotion, but nobody wants to spend, so they want to pay you R50, but they want to make R50 million."
The former Bafana Bafana striker says his next project will also be on his own terms.
"At the end of the day, I always say, a contract is not a club being happy – or me being happy, it's an agreement between two parties that have to work together to achieve a goal," he added.
"Most of these clubs don't understand that, and what happened at Spurs is the same thing – for five years, it was all about promotion, trying to get to the Premiership and making sure the club is at the level it's supposed to be for the environment.
"And when promotion was achieved, there was no plan in place."
