Spain star Dani Olmo flattered by Bayern Munich interest

Dani Olmo has addressed rumors linking him with a potential move to Bayern Munich, with the Spanish attacking midfielder reportedly available for a fee of 60 million euros this summer.

Bayern Munich, keen to strengthen their attacking options, have been monitoring several talented players, with Dani Olmo reportedly among them. The RB Leipzig star has now shared his thoughts on the Bavarians' interest.

While acknowledging the flattering interest from clubs like Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona, Olmo emphasized his current focus on the upcoming European Championship. "I am calm and focused on what is coming, which is the European Championship," Olmo told Mundo Deportivo.

"It's nice to see your name linked to big teams in Europe and the world, that motivates me, but I'm focused on the European Championship and hopefully we can come back with the trophy. Then we'll see what happens."

With board member for sport Max Eberl having previously worked with Olmo at RB Leipzig, this connection could potentially work in Bayern Munich's favor should they pursue him. However, whether Bayern would be willing to meet his 60 million euros release clause remains uncertain.

Dani Olmo primarily operates as an attacking midfielder but is versatile enough to play on either flank. Since joining Leipzig in 2020, the 26-year-old has been a mainstay for the club, accumulating 29 goals and 34 assists in 148 appearances.
