SuperSport United move a no-brainer for defender Pogiso Sanoka

Newly signed SuperSport United defender Pogiso Sanoka says he was never going to turn down an opportunity to work with Gavin Hunt.

The 32-year-old has joined the Tshwane outfit from TS Galaxy for an undisclosed fee and is part of the experienced crop recruited by Hunt.

Sanoka reveals the process it took for him to make up his mind.

"I've been in touch with the coach for quite some time now and when the opportunity was brought in this time around I had to sit down with my family knowing that I was a club captain of my previous club. These are the opportunities that sometimes only come once," Sanoka said.

"In regards to that I had to look at different stages of my life where my life is right now, the age that I'm at. The decision that I had to make was the decision that's gonna help me in the near future especially life after football because the age I'm at now, I think if something better than what you are having at the table and it's possible for you to go and achieve, you always have to think about it and make it for your family."

Sanoka adds that he’s had to go through a mindset shift in terms of targets at SuperSport compared to TS Galaxy.

"Here, the goal is not about the top 8 because we all know that SuperSport, they challenge for the league, they challenge for every cup competition. So, obviously from my side as a player I have to come with different ambitions,” he added.

“I have to come in and make sure that whatever the goal that we are setting for the team has to remain there and also from my side to really come in as quick as possible to try and adapt and obviously have the team achieve whatever the goal that has been set."
