The Poland-based midfielder is one of the key players for coach Morena Ramoreboli's Bafana Bafana at the regional showpiece currently underway in Durban.
In an exclusive interview with Ukhozi FM, the 26-years-old midfielder opened up on his return to the national team, even though it may not be under head coach Hugo Broos.
"Being in the Bafana Bafana squad is always a great honour and experience. I am always grateful for the opportunity, it's a huge privilege to be in the national team," Cele told Prime Time Sport with Victor Molefe.
"I still want to be great, I am still hungry for progress, hence I'm here with the national team. There are always expectations around me, I just want to fulfil them.
"One thing about me, I'm true to my self, honest with my journey. Pressure is part of sport, and mine is to deal with it positively."
In the past four transfer windows, Cele has regularly been linked to a number PSL clubs, including Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, and though he opted against a return home last season, he is not ruling out a move this year.
"You can never say never in football. Maybe I will come back to South Africa, even though I still want to grow in Europe. We never know about my future, I can't rule out playing for a PSL club," he highlighted.
"Last season started very well, but I couldn't finish it strongly due to injuries. I just want to use this COSAFA Cup to revive my self, but not only for me, for the national team as well. I want us to win this trophy."
Bafana opened their campaign on Wednesday with a 1-1 stalemate against Namibia, in which Cele was named Man of the Match, and will next face Botswana on Saturday (15:00).
