Tim Sukazi’s discussion with Sead Ramovic about Raja's links

TS Galaxy President Tim Sukazi has revealed that the club would be happy to see its coach, Sead Ramovic, take up the Raja Casablanca offer if it becomes available.

This follows reports that on a season when Raja finished the season as invincibles in both league and cup matches, they are now looking for a new technical team and head coach with their former assistant Josef Zinnbauer leaving for Saudi Arabia.

Ramovic is reported to have been shortlisted for this job, and Sukazi says he’s been talking about it for the past month.

"He has produced for us now players of international standard from the crop of players that we wouldn't ordinarily have as international players. Then it becomes a no-brainer for a coach like that to attract international interest as Sead Ramovic has done," Sukazi said.

"So, he's attracted Raja Casablanca, him and I have been on this subject probably now for five to six weeks, we have been discussing it. We talk about these things, obviously we are very close and weighing and balancing a number of things and should the situation be such that he has to go and join Raja then that should happen."

Not long ago, Sukazi tendered Ramovic to Kaizer Chiefs when they were still looking for a head coach before confirming coach Nasreddine Nabi.

He believes that the club will see their way out of this, should the Serbian coach make the move.

"I would want to believe that he would become an extension of our football into the Moroccan market, never mind our club. From where I'm sitting, I'll give it my blessing because I think he has walked the path from us,” he added.

“It will be a big loss for the South African game, I did obviously tender him to one of our biggest clubs Kaizer Chiefs when they were looking for a coach to say, you know they can have him because I believe he will really turn their project, he will make Kaizer Chiefs the most formidable club.

“It never happened, it doesn't matter. I would have wished that he remained locally, more especially in a club like Kaizer Chiefs but it didn't happen. I did say I don't work for Kaizer Chiefs maybe they've got a different approach and as we know now, they've appointed a new coach for which we all are congratulating them and we wish them all the best."
