Ramovic was relieved to see his charges fight for a point by levelling the score 1-1 in the dying minutes of their home fixture against Royal AM in Mbombela.
The stalemate left The Rockets in 11th place, two points adrift of their target with four matches to go.
"We knew that the opponent is a very tough team to beat, it's a lot of quality players with a great coach also. As I said before, if we reach the top 8 spot, it's the same value for us like if Orlando (Pirates) or (Kaizer) Chiefs won the league," he said.
The German-born former goalkeeper had his work cut out when he took over a bloated squad he’s since trimmed.
He couldn’t have asked for a better response.
"When I came we had 36 players. So, you have to remove at least 14 because it's a huge squad for us here. So, it means the players that stayed have a great attitude, great lifestyle," he added.
Even if Galaxy don’t reach their target, especially with relegation still a reality considering 31 points isn’t the safety mark as things stand, Ramovic feels he has helped raise the profile of a few forgotten players.
"Melusi (Buthelezi), national keeper. Given (Msimango), one of the best defenders. Marks (Munyai) is fantastic, and Senoka (Pogiso) is fantastic. We got Bobo (Orebotse Mongae) from the NFD (National First Division), and it's fantastic how he has improved. So, I'm proud of the players. They're successful because they put in the effort. If they don't want to come up, me as a coach, I can't bring them up," he concluded.
