Tottenham winger Bryan Gil set for spell on sidelines after groin surgery

Tottenham winger Bryan Gil has undergone surgery to resolve a groin issue.

Gil spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan at his former club Sevilla.

The 22-year-old missed Tottenham's pre-season Asia-Pacific tour because of the problem and is now set for a spell of recovery.

Tottenham confirmed Gill would be "closely monitored" by the club's medical team to determine when he can resume training.
