Mbuli believes they were denied two goals which could have given them the much-needed three points as they challenge reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies for the league title.
The Banyana Banyana assistant coach says it is disappointing when match officials decide the outcome of matches.
"You know it is disappointing, they say sometimes refeerees wake up and decide who will win today but today that was proven. I mean the first goal but the second goal there is no way you can say that's an offside and what's worse is that when you approach her, she's even arrogant to say 'I know, it's not a goal'. So, what can you say?'' Mbuli said.
The draw against Tuks in the Varsity Derby left UWC on 51 points, 14 behind the Brazilians, but the Capetonians have three games in hand.
In what has become a two-horse race for the league title between Sundowns Ladies and UWC, Mbuli says the latest result is a serious setback.
"It is, because we were hoping we were gonna push all the way up until we play with Sundowns and then look what happened now. So, I think they are happy now because I'm sure now if we win all the games up until their game they'll be leading us with five points but yeah, we'll see, we'll push up until the last game even with them, it's not yet done, they can still drop points,” the coach added.
“It's gonna be difficult but yeah, we try until the end, if we don't win then at least we must maintain our position, we can't drop to number three."
This was the fourth meeting between UWC and Tuks, but the first time the coastal side dropped points in the duel.
The Capetonians won the first three games.
Mbuli admits the latest clash wasn’t easy.
"It was tough and I said to the players half-time that they must just control what they can control. So, whatever happened on the field today, we can't control it, we can only control how we play."
