Vincent Kompany: Bayern Munich need to adjust tactics during Harry Kane absence

Bayern Munich are set to face Bayer Leverkusen in a crucial DFB-Pokal clash on Tuesday night at the Allianz Arena, but they will be without their star striker Harry Kane.

Manager Vincent Kompany addressed the media on Monday, acknowledging the challenge of playing without Kane, who has already scored 20 goals this season but is now sidelined with a minor muscle fibre tear.

While the timeline for Kane's return remains uncertain, Kompany expressed hope that the prolific striker could rejoin the team before the end of the year.

Kane's absence leaves a noticeable void in Bayern's attack, raising questions about how the team will adjust. However, Kompany praised the squad's depth, expressing confidence in their ability to adapt.

"There's a chance he'll play again this year," Kompany stated. "He'll definitely miss a few games.

"You can't replace him one-to-one. He's a top player. But we'll solve things differently.

"There will be no lack of talent tomorrow. We have several options, Thomas Muller, Mathys Tel, Serge Gnabry, Michael Olise, Leroy Sane. Maybe not Kingsley Coman in that position, but we have players who score goals, including Jamal (Musiala)."

He added: "Harry has scored 20 goals. You can't replace that, but we have enough players who can fulfil the role."

The upcoming match against Leverkusen will test Bayern's adaptability and resolve. Fans are eager to see how the side performs without their talisman, especially against strong opposition.
