West Ham set to sign defender Jean-Clair Todibo for £35m

West Ham United have reached an agreement with Nice for the acquisition of defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

The arrangement involves an initial loan with an option to purchase for £35 million.

Todibo is scheduled to undergo a medical examination after arriving in London on Friday, with personal terms expected to be finalized without any complications.

West Ham's technical director, Tim Steidten, reportedly engaged in extensive discussions with Todibo over the past 24 hours, ultimately persuading him to make the move.

Despite Juventus maintaining interest in Todibo and continuing to pursue a deal, their prolonged negotiations with Nice have yet to yield an agreement.

Earlier this summer, West Ham had also secured a deal for a loan with an option to buy Todibo for €32 million [£27 million].

At that time, it was believed that Todibo was holding out for a potential move to Juventus. The player still has three years remaining on his contract with Nice.
