England striker Toney appears to have played his last game for the Bees having been left out of the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace amid links to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli
Strike duo Mbeumo and Wissa set about filling the void in style on Sunday with a goal apiece.
It was Wissa's pass which sent Mbeumo racing clear to open the scoring in the first half.
"Even blind, I know where Bryan is," the DR Congo international told Brentford's website.
"He's going one-on-one more, and he'll be very happy he scored. I'm happy to work with him."
Ethan Pinnock's own goal hauled Palace level but Wissa grabbed the winner when he bundled in the rebound from Nathan Collins' deflected shot.
The Bees face a tough trip to Liverpool next but Wissa added: "You never know what can happen. We must try to enjoy it.
"We know they are a top team in the Premier League, but we will try to play. The main thing is to enjoy, because this is what we all dreamed of."
For Palace, who had an Eberechi Eze goal controversially disallowed, it was a first defeat since April.
Boss Oliver Glasner, whose side won seven of their last eight games last season, said: "Nobody wanted to lose, but sometimes you have to feel this.
"I think we forgot how it is to lose a game. It was many months ago. It hurts, but nothing will change how we prepare for a game, how we deal within the group."
