You will see the real Kgaogelo Sekgota - Clinton Larsen

Magesi FC head coach Clinton Larsen says fans will see a revived Kgaogelo Sekgota following his arrival at the topflight rookies.

Magesi get their maiden Betway Premiership campaign underway in a Limpopo derby against Sekhukhune United at Peter Mokaba Stadium tonight.

Larsen says the former Kaizer Chiefs, Bidvest Wits, Moroka Swallows, and Stellenbosch FC attacker will come out differently this season, starting tonight.

"I think he's going to surprise a lot of people. I looked at him at Wits, I looked at him at Kaizer Chiefs, and I looked at him at Stellenbosch, and he played in patches – we never really saw the best of him," said Larsen.

"With the unique skillset he possesses, I've adjusted his position as well, in which I'll be using him, and I really, honestly think he's going to be a revelation this season."

With only five goals and four assists in 90 matches in the PSL, Larsen says this is one area of Sekgota’s game they are looking at addressing.

"That's exactly why I've changed his position, because I want more goals and assists from him, so being an out-and-out left-winger, who only crossed, he limited himself in terms of goals he could create or score," Larsen added.

"So I've changed his position, tweaked it a little bit, and hopefully we'll now start to see the real Sekgota."
