Zwane opens up on Chiefs' transfer targets

Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has commented on some of the club's reported prospective signings ahead of his first season in charge.

Zwane was confirmed as Chiefs' new head coach on a full-time basis during a press conference held at FNB Stadium on Thursday, following his recent term as caretaker boss.

The 48-year-old tactician, who knows all about what it takes to succeed as a player in Naturena - having spent a decade marauding the left flank between 2000 and 2010, has opened up about the likes of Victor Letsoalo and Ashley Du Preez, whom Amakhosi are being linked to.

"When you look at Victor, he's a very good player, there's no doubt about it. He's been scoring goals, left, right and centre - mostly from dead-ball situations, like from the [penalty] spot," Zwane told Thabiso Mosia on SAFM Sport On.

"But when you look at him overall, he's one player that has that tactical flexibility, very comfortable on the ball, he's a team player and he's not selfish - if he doesn't score, he also creates.

"So, yeah, he's a good player and it remains to be seen whether we might have a player like him but, unfortunately at this moment, there are many other players we are looking at.

"There's no doubt about it, Du Preez has been doing very well. With Du Preez, age is on his side, so ja, he's another player that we're looking at. Hopefully... If we might get him."
