Manchester City's Phil Foden was voted as the men's player of the year for last season at the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) awards on Tuesday.
Footballers' unions have acted on their threat to sue FIFA over the sport's "unworkable" calendar, after addition of 32-team Club World Cup.
The Professional Footballers' Association has joined a legal action against FIFA to ensure that players are not exploited and are given protected breaks every season.
