Kwena Maphaka called up to Proteas Test squad

The news comes as fellow quick Gerald Coetzee has been ruled out of the second Test and the upcoming all-format tour against Pakistan due to a groin injury.

The 24-year-old experienced discomfort while bowling on day four of the first Test at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban on Saturday. The results of the scan revealed a right groin muscle strain.

Coetzee's recovery period is estimated to be between four to six weeks.  

The second Test gets underway at Dafabet St George's Park in Gqeberha from 5-9 December.
