The Sunrisers qualified for their third successive final after a dominant eight-wicket win over Paarl Royals in the second qualifier on Thursday night in Centurion.
De Zorzi says the team is filled with belief as they remain unbeaten in the knockout stage and are willing to do all it takes to get a third successive championship title.
“I will echo what Aiden said to us the other evening that the tournament starts now. And it seems that everyone in our team is in form with the bat and in the field,” said De Zorzi.
“I back every single player in the team to do well in the final. I think it is going to be exciting, I think these are the teams people want to watch in the final. Hopefully it will be packed at the Wanderers.”
De Zorzi, who only joined the Sunrisers late into their Season 3 campaign as a replacement for the injured Patrick Kruger, delivered an impressive innings with 78 runs off just 49 balls, and said he knew what was expected of him.
“I think if I had to look through my career, I alway wanted to do well in every match. Having arrived quite late, I thought everyone knew exactly what to do and there’s been no panic,’’ concluded De Zorzi.
