Sturbbon Sekhukhune United held down Amazulu on a 0-0 draw in the Dstv Premiership at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban on Saturday evening.
Gaining just a point in tonights clash Amazulu remain in seventh position with 40 points in Premier league tables , while Sekhukhune climbed up to number 10 sitting on 38 points.
Usuthu enjoyed dominating the ball possession in the first half. Their duo Luvuyo Memela and Sphesihle Maduna were lively and seemed to understand the assignment of the night, but had poor finishing.
Tapelo Xokis header was one promising chance in the first half, which was heading for the top left corner, however if reached goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata fully aware as he tipped it over the crossbar by.
The first half went down with both sides still hoping for a goal.
Sekhukhune introduced Vusumuzi Mncube and Prince Nxumalo as the team looked for tactics to break the dead lock however AmaZulu continued to control the match allowing nothing to go behind the net.
Brandon Truter charges pushed for a late winning goal but Xola Mlambo's goal attempt was blocked inside the box.
Usuthu also introduced a late substitute Andre De Jong with only 14 minutes left before the game end, however, Sekhukhune were able to contain them until the last minute and the teams shared a spoil.
