SABC Sport has established that the SuperSport United hierarchy will meet this week to make a final call on the future of captain Ronwen Williams.
The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper has openly stated that he is ready to move - preferably to Mamelodi Sundowns - next season because he would like to end his career on a high by winning trophies, having been at United since the age of 12.

"Definitely, who wouldnt want to play for the [treble] champions? I mean, they are at the pinnacle of South African football at the moment, and for the last few years," Williams told SABC Sport last month when asked about a potential transfer to Chloorkop.
"So, any offer that comes, if the offer is good and the club is happy then we shake hands and we move on. But, like I said, I think Im at a time now when I need to challenge for things.
"I think Ive done fairly well over the last few years, so well see what happens in the next few weeks."
The latest development is that Matsatsantsa are open to selling their longest-serving player, whose contract will come to an end in June 2024.

According to a high-ranking source at Sundowns, the Brazilians are ready to welcome Williams, pending discussions with their crosstown rivals, and the deal has been described as "85 percent done", although there is nothing official at this moment.
SuperSport are also in the middle of talks at a high level to finalise the appointment of a permanent coach, following the sacking of Kaitano Tembo towards the end of the 2021/22 season and Andre Arendse's interim appointment.
With the new campaign scheduled for early August, it is only a matter of time before the club make these major announcements - but SABC Sport has it on good authority that Williams' departure is imminent.
