Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena speaking to the media following their 1-0 win against AmaZulu FC on Wednesday evening at King Zwelithini Stadium refused to be drawn into league title discussions.

"No, I can't smell it, no title can be won in December. Unless I've got a problem with my sinuses," Mokwena said jokingly.

With a 100%-win record in ten games, can Mamelodi Sundowns finish the season unbeaten, something the league have never seen?

Proud Mokwena says they are very bad losers and they will keep on fighting to protect their unbeaten run.

"The only problem with getting it off your back is that you've gotta lose and we are very bad losers. I said to them, 'Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser'. So, we are bad losers and we don't want to open that door,” Mokwena added.

“It keeps knocking, every match we start at 0-0, defeat is knocking on the door. If you open it, it will come in but defeat is like that. You know that friend that you have that when you open the door it gets comfortable and it calls the other friends and then the other then the other friend then eventually everyone has taken over your house.

“So, we don't operate in that space. We've got an incredible group of players with an incredible mentality and I'm very proud of them. They are an amazing group and they deserve everything that they get, in fact even more."

The club also welcomed the return of Abubeker Nasir who has been out for almost a year due to injury. Mokwena expressed excitement over having more options in the attack.

"Big boost and very happy for Abuki. A very good human being, unlucky, really unlucky and a top football player. I'm so happy for him because it's almost a year since he's been out and his teammates have been supporting him and helping him so I'm very happy for him and happy for the group."
