Zulu has earned respect in the industry for his striking power as well as an impressive record of 13 wins and six submissions, while also currently holding the bantamweight belt.
Walker admits he is in for a long night in the hexagon.
"Like he said he's one of the most accomplished fighters on this roster, and let me say this even – I can go to this extent, he's probably one of the better finishers in this organisation," declared Walker.
"I saw his record the other day, I think it was like six wins by sub [submission] and six by knockout, so that's 12 straight finishes – that's a dangerous person to anybody."
The odds are already heavily stacked against Walker as the underdog, but he believes the chance to fight Zulu will open doors.
"But regardless of how this fight goes, I know there's opportunities set up for me, so me fighting Zulu is a great opportunity for me. I know I'm going to go in there, do my best and get the win, but man I'm just blessed to be here," he added.
Asked about his preparations building up to this week, Zulu revealed he’d spent several weeks with some strong sparring partners, among them UFC’s very own Cameron Saaiman, who is in the same weight division.
"This camp is the most beautiful camp I've ever had in my life. I'm more ready than ever before, and stronger, faster, and more agile," Zulu noted.
"So, I had a great camp and can you imagine training with Cameron – a UFC star – scrambling with that guy everyday, and Nerik [Simoes] – one of the best wrestlers in the EFC?"
