This follows NSA’s annual sponsorship and media engagement forum held in Johannesburg on Tuesday, with the aim of growing netball’s commercialisation.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Komane says the session was about giving an account to their partners to unpack media value and return on investment.
"Our annual sponsorship forum is for us to present the return on their investment, in terms of media, marketing and commercial value," explained Komane.
"We then engage them further and they do their own presentations on a SWOT analysis, what were their highlights, achievements, weaknesses and opportunities that we'll be coming for this current financial year.
"And how we can further collaborate and build their brand, and help them achieve the tenants or pillars within their social investment, and that's what's been happening.
"We then further said we want to build relationships with the media, a dialogue, as you've seen, which was amazing because we had insights from media on how we can add value, and not always us telling you what it is that we want or how we want to be covered.
"That was excellent insight for us as Netball South Africa, and we are looking forward to actually supporting the media beyond what we have been doing."
Komane adds their quest to foster collaboration among sponsors and stakeholders to help drive the sport towards financial sustainability will not come without a certain level of humility from the federation.
"We are saying we want to be the best, we want excellence and we want to bread excellence, but also in the values of being a family, integrity, learning and humility as Netball South Africa, and that's the brand we're striving for," she said.
