"I can say that I'm going to renovate my mum's house because she told me that can you please renovate my house and she was always praying a lot for me and she gives me blessings and my grandmom because last year I was helping my grandmom with her house,” Xaba said.
“So, now I'll be focusing on my mum's house then the other money I will invest it so that in the future I can buy my own car and house."
Xaba received support from her coach, Caster Semenya, and manager, Violet Semenya, who helped her secure funds for her driver’s license two months ago, while fellow athlete Ranti Dikgale taught her how to drive.
Her first journey in her brand-new car is to drive to her rural village in Mpumalanga, where she plans to homage to her grandmother, who raised her.
"The first destination is my grandmom, I'm very close to my grandmom. She's the one that believed in me a lot and she always motivates me to do very well. She taught me when I was young that if you like athletics, you need to believe in yourself and I will support you with everything. So, she's my best friend, she's my queen," she added.
