Team Einarson eyes a historic fifth consecutive Canadian championship, aiming to surpass Nova Scotia's Team Colleen Jones for the most consecutive Tournament of Hearts victories. Shannon Birchard, at 28, could join the elite club of Jennifer Jones, Colleen Jones, and Jill Officer as the fourth player to clinch six Scotties championships.
Team Lawes, rebounding from last year's near playoff miss, enters this season with strong momentum, securing a spot in the finals at the Tour Challenge and winning the Manitoba Scotties with a dramatic 9-8 victory over Team Beth Peterson.
Corryn Brown returns to the tournament after a three-year hiatus, qualifying in eight of nine events with a notable bonspiel win. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Sklar Ackerman makes her Scotties debut, leading Team Ackerman as the dominant force in Saskatchewan, clinching a provincial victory over Team Nancy Martin in a gripping 10-9 extra-end final.
Stacie Curtis, the lowest-ranked team in Pool A, secured her seventh Newfoundland and Labrador Scotties title in January and will represent The Rock for the second consecutive year.

Rachel Homan, in her 10th Scotties Tournament of Hearts, showcases peak form, leading her formidable foursome to an impressive season with 38 victories out of 43 games. Their recent triumphs include winning the PointsBet Invitational and securing back-to-back Grand Slam titles, bringing Homan's total to a record-extending 15 championships.
Ranked first in Canada, comfortably ahead of Team Jennifer Jones, and second globally, Homan, at 34, seeks to add to her three Scotties titles, the last of which came in 2017. Meanwhile, Jennifer Jones, a six-time Canadian champion and widely regarded as the curling G.O.A.T., announced her retirement after this season, making her 19th appearance at the Scotties.
In Homan's absence from the Ontario Scotties, Danielle Inglis seized the opportunity for her Tournament of Hearts debut. Kerry Galusha, a 46-year-old veteran, marks her 21st appearance, while Heather Smith returns after a hiatus since 2014. Despite being the third-lowest ranked team in Pool B, Team Heather Smith's seasoned experience makes them a potential dark horse.
Making her Scotties debut, Bayly Scoffin, the younger sister of Thomas Scoffin, adds a new chapter to the tournament's history. Thomas is set to represent the territory at the upcoming Montana’s Brier in Regina.
