New Zamalek coach Juan Carlos Osorio excited to work with youth players

New Zamalek head coach Juan Carlos Osorio says the future of the team is bright and is excited to work with the club's youth players.

The Colombian tactician started his tenure at the Egyptian club with a 2-2 draw against Al Mokawloon before beating Gold & Blood 1-0 in midweek.

Osorio has so far trusted the younger players in the squad with Hossam Abdul-Majeed (21), Seif Farouk (23) and Sayed Abduallah (23), while Muhammad Tarek (21) all getting game time.

"I'm very happy and optimistic about the juniors, and over time we will succeed in producing a competitive team," Osorio said after the victory.

"I did not fear injuries or otherwise [in making the four substitutions at the break], and I know what I do, and the push of Mohammad Tarek was because Ceramica Cleopatra started to attack, and we implemented what we want."

Osorio will look to secure his first piece of silverware with Zamalek when they face arch-rivals Al Ahly in the Egyptian Super Cup at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium on May 5.
