The Proteas will face the Caribbean side for the three-day series at the National Indoor Sports Centre, resuming on Saturday, to see them return to play for the first time since their Africa Cup triumph in December.

Khanyisa adds that preparations have been well set ahead of the tournament, and theteam is ready to secure a win.

"We are looking to it, the mood in camp is very exciting, everyone wants to get on court the first time this year and really do well. So, yeah, the training is going well and everyone connecting well. So, it's just exciting to get on court the first time this year and do well," Chawane said.

Chawane says the team will have to adapt to the high-pressing netball likely to be imposed by Jamaica, however at the same time be wise enough to stick to their South African style of play.

"I always say if you want to be a good netball player you need to be able to be adaptable and that's what we're trying to do as a team. Every side that we want to face or that we face, we try to adapt to their style but as well as still keep our own uniqueness and being authentic. It is going to be a little bit hard," the captain added.
