Tete: Zolani will be victorious

Former IBF junior-bantamweight and WBC bantamweight world champion Zolani Tete is oozing confidence heading into a double-title fight this evening.

Tete will be fighting British boxer Jason Cunningham for the vacant IBF International and Commonwealth Junior-featherweight titles at the OVO Arena in Wembley, London.

He held a public workout at Mdantsane Mall prior to his departure for England last week and feels he is more than ready to return with both belts.

"I'm ready for this fight and, going into it, I know it's an opportunity for me to become a world champion again, so this time around I'm going for two titles," Tete said in the build-up to the bout.

"I'm ready and I believe on 2 July, Zolani will be victorious and bring two titles back home, and I'm looking forward to capturing another two titles after this fight."

Tete™s promoter Frank Warren at Queensberry Promotions has already promised that the winner of this bout will get a shot at the IBF title, which is currently held by Murodion Akhmadaliey from Uzbekistan.

"Hearing that is quite motivating because I know, once I win this fight, I'll be getting closer to one of my dreams, which is to become a three-time World Champion," he added.
