Roos is part of the SA Rugby 12-player squad to compete in the opening series between 1-2 March at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Roos says the team will do all it takes to win the series in order to qualify for the HSBC SVNS Play-off tournament in May.
"It is quite a big privilege and honour to be part of the group. To again help the group qualify for the HSBC SVNS home series and it's a big task at hand. It's crucial for the team to win both of these tournaments to actually have a good log standing, going into the third tournament," Roos said.
Roos says it’s crucial to execute the game plan well in their tournament opener to set tone in Pool A, where they are pitted against Czechia and China.
"Day one, game one and then game two, we will obviously have a game plan for every game that we go into and what we would want to execute out of that game and within the tournament build on that execution,” she added.
“Just looking at that pool and the format of the whole tournament, it's really important that we top the pool to get a chance into a semifinal and be in the top four as that will be crucial, just being in the top four will allow you to go to LA for the knockout stages.
“To actually go into the relegation tournament, so yeah, looking at our chances, I think we have a really good chance if we just focus on what we would want to execute, our standards and our game plan."
