URC: Stormers edge Sharks in Cape Town thriller

The Sharks opened the scoring with a penalty by Jordan Hendrikse, but the Stormers responded emphatically.

Seabelo Senatla capitalised on a deft kick-through by Warrick Gelant for their first try.

Deon Fourie powered over early in the second half from a maul, followed by a dazzling solo effort by Manie Libbok, who stepped through the Sharks' defence.

The Sharks fought back valiantly. Yaw Penxe scored from a well-executed scrum move, and Jordan Hendrikse crossed the line after a superb assist by his brother Jayden.

However, a crucial TMO decision cancelled what could have been another Sharks try, citing a forward pass.

The game's decisive moment came late in the second half. Jean-Luc Du Plessis muscled over the line after a driving maul, sealing the Stormers' victory.

Despite injuries to key players like Joseph Dweba and Herschel Jantjies for the Stormers and Siya Kolisi and Trevor Nyakane for the Sharks, both sides showed remarkable resilience.

The win propelled the Stormers to 8th on the standings with 21 points, while the Sharks held their 5th position.
