AFCON 2025 Qualifier matches disrupted

The SABC regrets to inform the public that the public broadcaster will no longer broadcast the much-anticipated AFCON 2025 Qualifiers scheduled for tonight on SABC+ pop up and SABC Sport channels.

However, the match between South Africa and Congo is currently underway and broadcast live on SABC 2, SABC radio stations and SABC+.

This is regrettable as the SABC and other broadcasters around the Continent have paid New World TV, rights holder for the sub-licensing rights of these matches. The SABC will engage with New World TV to find a solution regarding this matter.
