Motau, who recently completed a move to Club Tijuana in the Liga MX Femenil, played a starring role for the University of Western Cape Ladies, as they finished runners-up behind Sundowns for a third consecutive season.
The 27-year-old walked away with the Player of the Season accolade for her efforts, beating Lebogang Ramalepe of Sundowns Ladies and Yolanda Nduli of University of Johannesburg Ladies to the gong.
Ramalepe, who helped The Brazilians retain their championship for a firth successive year, didn’t completely lose out, as she claimed the Player’s Player of the Season award, as voted for by her colleagues.

Downs coach Jerry Tshabalala also claimed the Coach of the Year award, having led the team to 27 victories from 30 matches – with a staggering 114 goals scored and just 12 conceded.
Also going to Chloorkop was the Top Goal Scorer award, which was claimed by Sundowns midfielder Boitumelo Rabale for her 17 strikes throughout the campaign.
UJ Ladies shot-stopper Matshidiso Masebe claimed the Goalkeeper of the Season gong, while 15-year-old Durban Ladies attacker Khwezi Khoza was named Young Player of the Season.
