The former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper was referring to a push on defender Neo Rapoo in the dying minutes, which was overlooked and left two Galaxy players alone in the opposition half with only Ricardo Goss to beat for their third goal.
This is just another of the long list of complaints towards officials this season, with Arendse calling for more accountability and upholding of standards.
"You're chasing the game and get back in it at 2-1, and then the unfortunate thing happens towards the end of the game – and it's a gut-wrenching blow," said Arendse.
"You want people who are in charge of a game to be better than that, and that's not the standard of the PSL when it comes to officiating, we have to be better than that because we have to make the game better.
"I always say to the officials, you guys determine the behaviour of the coaches on the benches – you have to be better than that, just like we have to be better every week to win games of football.
"There has to be that accountability, and there wasn't that tonight, and that hurts."
Arendse, however, refused to discredit Galaxy, who he admitted were the better side on the night.
"I say that, but I've also got to be fair and honest to the opposition tonight – I thought over 90 minutes they deserved the win," he added.
"The way they played in the first half, we were chasing the whole game and the outcome was three points to them, and I think they deserve it."
