The young star has expressed optimism about his comeback, stating, "I will come back better than ever."
His recent ankle injury, he said, was "just bad luck from a knock I took. These things happen."
Hansi Flick, whose coaching style has been a subject of much discussion, has been commended by Yamal for his communicative approach. "He talks to you, explains why things happen; the advice he gives makes us better," Yamal said.
He went on to praise Flick's confidence-building tactics, noting, "He knows exactly what to say at the right moment. He always tells me I'm very important to the team and to believe in myself."
The Barcelona teams are currently known for their attacking football, which Yamal describes as "more fun to watch for fans. We're direct in attack. When I get the ball on the wing, that's when I'm at my 100%, with no restrictions and plenty of freedom to move."
He acknowledges, however, that "defensively, we might not be as strong as in previous years, but our attack is one of the best in recent times."
The spirit within the Barcelona squad is high, with Yamal emphasizing, "We've all been fans since we were kids, we know how important it is to play for this badge. The dressing room atmosphere is full of energy."
Scoring in El Clasico was a dream for Yamal. "It's been a significant year for me, where I've progressed from strength to strength, feeling important both at the club and with the national team," he said.
Despite personal success, Yamal hasn't forgotten the team's collective goals. "I've missed out on collective titles with Barca, which is what I'm really excited about. I'll try to make that happen this year.
"On a personal note, I want to score more goals because I've definitely improved my assist numbers," he concluded.
