Lindström joined Eintracht in the summer of 2021 from Danish champions Brondby IF. In his first season, the 23-year-old played 39 competitive games for Frankfurt, scoring five goals and setting up nine more. The Dane made nine appearances and provided four assists as Eintracht won the UEFA Europa League. In the final in Seville, Lindström played 70 minutes against Rangers FC (6-5 on penalties).
Last season, the nine-time international (one goal) scored seven goals in 27 games in the Bundesliga and in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League he scored the first goal in the Champions League in an away win at Marseille (1-0). Lindstrom played 80 competitive games for Eintracht across all competitions and also took part in the 2022 FIFA World Cup as an eagle bearer.
Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche bid farewell to Lindstrom.
"Jesper has played a large part in our positive development over the past two years," said Krösche.
"He will always associate winning the Europa League title, reaching the DFB Cup final and last but not least many special moments in the Bundesliga with Eintracht and vice versa. Jesper's time in Frankfurt was also characterized by strong individual development, which is also a good example of how, as a club, we are able to take highly talented players to the next level. We wish him all the best for his future in Naples."
