Jamie Gittens shines again as Borussia Dortmund cruise past Club Brugge

Jamie Gittens once again proved his value off the bench, scoring twice as Borussia Dortmund claimed a 3-0 win over Club Brugge in the Champions League.

The young winger, who also netted a brace in Dortmund's Bundesliga win over Eintracht Frankfurt, played a pivotal role in Nuri Sahin's first Champions League triumph as a manager.

Dortmund struggled in the first half, with Brugge creating several dangerous chances. Andreas Skov Olsen tested Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, who kept his team in the game with crucial saves.

Despite Dortmund's early pressure, Brugge looked more threatening, but Kobel's efforts kept the scoreline level at half-time.

The match shifted in Dortmund's favour after the introduction of Gittens and Serhou Guirassy. Gittens broke the deadlock with a deflected strike in the 75th minute, cutting in from the left to beat Simon Mignolet.

Just minutes later, Gittens repeated the feat, securing his second goal in a similar fashion.

A late penalty, converted by Guirassy, sealed the win for Dortmund.

Speaking after the match, Gittens expressed his desire for a starting role. "I come off the bench and try to make an impact, but I hope to soon score goals from the start," he said.

Dortmund will face Stuttgart in their upcoming Bundesliga clash.
