Maharaj, Khaka win big at CSA Awards

Proteas stars Keshav Maharaj and Ayabonga Khaka walked away the big winners at the annual Cricket South Africa awards, which was once again held as a virtual ceremony on Sunday evening.

Maharaj bagged the Men's Player of the Year as well as the Players' Player of the Year awards, while Khaka did the same for the Women's division after both enjoyed stand-out seasons for their respective teams.

The likes of Momentum Proteas captain Laura Wolvaardt and recently retired batter Lizelle Lee also bagged accolades for their showing on the women's international arena.

David Miller bagged the Fan's Player of the Year gong, while Janneman Malan, Kagiso Rabada and Aiden Makram clinched the specific awards for One Day International, Test and Twenty20 formats respectively.

Among the big domestic award winners were Imperial Lions bowler Sisanda Magala, Boland Rocks all-rounder Pieter Malan as well as Itec Knights batsman Rilee Rossouw.
