Speaking in an interview with SuperSport, Guardiola highlighted Marmoush's impact at Eintracht Frankfurt, calling the 25-year-old a "fantastic talent" whose influence was undeniable in Germany's top flight.
"Before he joined us, he was making an incredible impact in Germany," Guardiola said.
"He was undoubtedly the best player in the Bundesliga this season. His talent is unquestionable, and his contribution to our team has been fantastic."
Marmoush joined City during the January transfer window in a €75 million move from Frankfurt and has quickly integrated into Guardiola's tactical system. Despite competition for places and a mid-season transition, the Egyptian international has already made a significant impression at the Etihad.
Guardiola's praise is particularly noteworthy given the presence of other high-profile Bundesliga stars such as Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala. While those players feature for German heavyweights like Bayern Munich, Marmoush's standout performances at a less dominant club made his rise even more impressive.
At Frankfurt, Marmoush regularly delivered goals and assists, often carrying the team through difficult spells. His leadership and consistency underlined his growing reputation as one of Europe's emerging attacking talents.
Since arriving in Manchester, the forward has continued that form, vindicating City's investment and further strengthening Guardiola's squad depth during a critical phase of the season.
With each appearance, Marmoush continues to reinforce his value, proving that his Bundesliga success was no one-season wonder.
