PSG step up pursuit of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be making a big push to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.

Although Liverpool, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are considered the frontrunners to sign the 19-year-old in the upcoming summer transfer window, PSG have shown a keen interest in securing the English international's talents.

According to SER Deportivos, PSG have intensified their contacts with Bellingham's Bundesliga side and are willing to offer him the most money to win his signature. The Ligue 1 side is reportedly fearful of losing Kylian Mbappe next summer and are seeking to bring in Bellingham to lead the next generation of talent at the club.

Despite Liverpool being Bellingham's preferred choice, the Reds are currently sitting in eighth place in the Premier League table, making a top-four finish and qualification for next season's Champions League unlikely. Real Madrid are also in a strong position to sign him, but the club is preparing to renew the contracts of midfielders Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Bellingham has been a crucial player for Dortmund in the 2022-23 campaign, registering ten goals and seven assists in 36 appearances across all competitions. Since joining the German club from Birmingham City in 2020, Bellingham has made 126 appearances, scored 20 goals, and provided 25 assists.

Although Bellingham has a contract with Dortmund until June 2025, a deal for his signature is likely to cost in excess of £100million. Manchester United remains interested in the player's situation, but the club is currently prioritizing the signing of a new centre-forward in the upcoming transfer market.

While Dortmund are said to be prepared to offer Bellingham a significant pay rise in a bid to keep him at the club, the intense competition for his signature means that the young star may have a difficult decision ahead of him.

PSG's latest push to bring him to the French capital could tip the scales in their favour, but only time will tell where Bellingham will ultimately end up.
