Golden Arrows peg back Matsatsantsa
SuperSport United missed the chance to go up to third in the league standings after squandering a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Golden Arrows at the Mpumalanga Stadium.
Talented 20-year-old defender Ime Okon gave Matsatsantsa the lead after just 11 minutes before Terrence Dzvukamanja doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time.
Arrows came out a totally different outfit after the interval and pulled a goal back with 20 minutes remaining through substitute Lungelo Nguse.
The hosts then threw everything forward in search of the equaliser and were rewarded when defender Gladwin Shitolo earned his team a hard-fought point.
The draw leaves SuperSport in fifth place in the standings while Arrows remain ninth.
Galaxy thrash Royal AM after second-half blitz
TS Galaxy put in a stirring second-half performance to thrash Royal AM 3-0 in their PSL clash at the Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday.
After a goalless and uneventful opening period, the Rockets came out firing after the interval and took the lead in the 55th minute when Samir Nurkovic found the back of the net.
Two substitutes then made sure of the victory close to full-time when Lehlohonolo Mojela and Kamogelo Sebelebele both scored.
The victory moves Galaxy up to seventh on the league table while Royal AM languish in 14th place, but nine points clear of a relegation play-off position.
Chilli Boys compound Spurs' relegation fears
Chippa United compounded Cape Town Spurs' relegation fears with a 2-0 victory at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Sinoxolo Kwayiba put the Chilli Boys ahead in the 26th minute before the win was sealed five minutes from full-time through a Kayden Francis strike.
The three points moves Chippa up to 11th in the standings while Spurs remain rooted to the bottom, two points behind 15th placed Richards Bay.
