The Brazilian forward, who joined Spurs from Everton in a £60 million deal, has encountered challenges since his transfer.
Despite making 27 appearances for the North London club, Richarlison has only managed to find the net once in the Premier League. His overall tally stands at three goals in 35 matches across all competitions.
Responding to reports linking him with Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid, Richarlison admitted, "Every player wants to don the Real Madrid shirt. It's the biggest club in the world. However, I have a club and a contract, and I must justify their significant investment. Nonetheless, playing for Real Madrid is a dream for any player."
During the 22/23 season, Richarlison openly criticized former Spurs manager Antonio Conte's decision to relegate him to the bench. "I can't comprehend certain things. Once again, there was no explanation. Let's wait and see what he [Conte] tells me. But I'm not naive; I'm a dedicated professional who strives to play.
"Frankly, the amount of playing time I've received this season has been unsatisfactory," Richarlison vented to TNT Sports Brazil.
With new Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou taking charge this month, Richarlison faces the challenge of impressing the Australian manager.
In his inaugural interview, Postecoglou expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I am delighted to commence my role as the manager of this esteemed football club.
"I eagerly anticipate our upcoming journey, as it presents an exciting opportunity to forge a new path, play dynamic football, and establish an environment that epitomizes the values and traditions of this exceptional club."
