Ndidi, who is currently under contract with Leicester City until 2024, has attracted attention due to his impressive performances as a defensive midfielder in the highly competitive Premier League over the past six years.
However, Ndidi's impact this season was hampered by injuries, coinciding with Leicester City's struggles and relegation to the Championship.
As a result, speculation has arisen about a possible departure from Leicester, with the Middle East being mentioned as a potential destination.
Egyptian journalist Ahmed Ragab has reported that Al-Shabab, a six-time Saudi Premier League winner, has initiated discussions with Ndidi regarding a potential transfer during the upcoming summer window.
While Ndidi, who is 26 years old, may not be immediately inclined to move to the Middle East, the generous salary packages offered by Saudi clubs have proven enticing to many players.
Despite the transfer talks, Ndidi's recent focus has been on international duty.
He played a pivotal role in Nigeria's 3-2 victory over Sierra Leone on June 18, securing their qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast next year.
