Corbin Bosch served legal notice by PCB after signing with Mumbai Indians

Proteas all-rounder Corbin Bosch has been served a legal notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after pulling out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to sign with the IPL side Mumbai Indians.

Bosch had initially been picked by PSL side Peshawar Zalmi at the draft that was held in January but earlier this month was announced as a Mumbai Indians player to replace injured countryman Lizaad Williams.

This is the first year that the PSL will overlap with the IPL - the tournament in India taking place from 22 March to 25 May and the PSL from 11 April to 18 May.

The PCB said in a statement: "The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments.

"The PCB management has also outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league and expects his response within the stipulated time frame. The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter."

The PCB statement did not specify what the time frame was for Bosch to respond.
