Maiden Reeza Hendricks hundred powers Proteas to T20 series victory

A brilliant maiden century from Reeza Hendricks helped the Proteas beat Pakistan by seven wickets in the second T20I in Centurion and win the series with a game to spare.

Hendricks received a standing ovation along with chants of "Reeza, Reeza, Reeza" after being caught at midwicket following a sensational 117 runs that included 10 sixes and seven fours.

Some excellent support came from Rassie van der Dussen, who finished with an unbeaten 66, sharing a 157-run partnership, that ultimately turned the tie on its head after an opening of 206/5 from Pakistan.

Saim Ayub was the standout performer for the losing side, with his unbeaten 98 in the first innings.

Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam contributed a combined 42 runs as Irfan Khan hit 30 off 16 balls as part of a 73-run fifth wicket partnership.

Pakistan had secured 77 runs in the last five overs for their highest total against South Africa in a T20 International, but the hosts achieved their target with three balls to spare.
