Proteas paceman Glenton Stuurman has been ruled out of the Test series against Australia through injury and will be replaced by Lizaad Williams in the squad.
Stuurman suffered an abdominal muscle strain while playing for the Warriors against the Dolphins in a domestic four-day match over the weekend.
Titans seamer Williams has already played two Tests for South Africa against Bangladesh in a home series earlier this year, picking up three wickets.
The Proteas leave for Australia on 1 December and play an unofficial four-day game against a Cricket Australia XI from 9-12 December at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane before the three-match Test series.
The first Test is scheduled to be played in Brisbane from 17 December to be followed by the traditional Boxing Day and New Year's matches in Melbourne and Sydney respectively.
