Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro says he has a very strong technical team that will take care of preparing thoroughly for their opponents.
Pirates head into their second DStv Premiership game against Stellenbosch FC at the Danie Craven Stadium tonight, fresh from a 1-0 win in their opening league game this past weekend against Swallows FC.
The expectations are high from the Buccaneers faithful this season, especially with the team not taking part in the CAF inter-club competitions, and challenging for the league title in a season when they are celebrating their 85th anniversary in one of the major anticipations.
Riveiro is well aware of the brand of football expected from the Soweto giants and says their identity will not change for any opponent or because of any adverse circumstance.
"Expectations, I think already I said it in a few locations and it's not empty talk, we are playing for Pirates so we are not going to face any game differently. We are always going to try to be a proactive team looking for a good result - three points," said Riveiro.
"We are ambitious and we know what we need to do. We are not going to do it on every single occasion - hopefully, but it's difficult as you would understand - but the intention is always going to be there.
"We have opponents in front of us that are also doing their job and this is a tough competition. But the identity of the team is not going to change, never. It's not going to change for one result or for one performance, we are quite sure about what we're doing."
