Tshabalala: Sundowns expecting a competitive semi-final against Simba

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies head coach Jerry Tshabalala has proclaimed the readiness of his side in facing Simba Queens in the African Women™s Champions League semi-final in Marrakech tonight at 18:00, a game that has been described to be a final before the final.

Sundowns, who are coming to the last four with a 100% winning record from the group stages, are meeting a Simba team that qualified ahead of Green Buffaloes, the Zambian team that beat Sundowns to win the COSAFA title.

They were dominant in Group B, beating Bayelsa Queens from Nigeria 2-1, Wadi Degla from Egypt 5-0, and recorded a 4-0 win in the last game against DRC side TP Mazembe. Tshabalala says complacency won™t creep in and he is anticipating an exciting and competitive game this evening.

œEveryone has been talking about Mamelodi Sundowns-Simba, it™s a big match everyone in Africa is looking forward to this game but for us as Mamelodi Sundowns we are treating it like any other game we have played in the group stages" Said Tshabalala.

"If you could recall in our group stages we had three games that were tougher, even this one it™s also gonna be a bit tougher for game. We know Simba they are good side, they knock the ball around, they got good players in their team, they got Corazone [Vivian Odhiambo], they got Fetty Densa [Amezaliwa Fatuma Issa] in the middle so we know what to expect there. So basically I would say we are ready for Simba.
