Olympic stars including Bayanda Walaza, Prudence Sekgodiso, Letsile Tebogo, Jovan Van Vuuren, and Marione Fourie will all be showcasing their talents on the newly revamped athletics track.
The event, hosted by Athletics Gauteng North (AGN), promises to deliver a world-class experience in the heart of the capital city, with the main event set to run from 16:00 to 18:00.
The winners of each platinum event set to pocket R5 500 in prize money, while an opportunity to qualify for the World Athletics Senior Championships in Tokyo and Paris later this year is also up for grabs.
In the men's 100m, African record holder Ferdinand Omanyala will face off against his compatriot Mark Odhiambo, former SA 200m champion Luxolo Adams, and Emile Erasmus, who is making his much-anticipated return from a long-term injury.
One of the highlights in the women's events will be the 800m, featuring Prudence Sekgodiso, who set a new national indoor record of 1:59.88 in Europe last month.
She will go up against Charne Swart, one of the country's brightest middle-distance talents as well as Botswana’s Oratile Nowe.
