Tebogo has dedicated the past four months of training camp in Potchefstroom and will soon depart for Gaborone on 12 April.
Since January, he has participated in various athletics competitions across South Africa, including the Athletics South Africa (ASA) Continental Tour, the Challenger Grand Prix series in Tshwane, and events at the University of Johannesburg (UJ).
In a recent meeting at UJ’s Grand Prix, the 20-year-old blazed through the 200m men’s final, crossing the finish line in an impressive 19.94 seconds.
"I have been here for four months, the facilities here are the best. Everything has been under control and I really love it here. The crowd is here for us,'' said Tebogo.
Tebogo intends to participate in the Golden Grand Prix in Gaborone, Botswana, before transitioning to Europe for the Diamond League competitions.
''I'm not sure but probably you will see me at the Botswana Grand Prix,'' added Tebogo.
Tebogo is among the top contenders striving for podium finishes in the 100m and 200m events at the Olympic Games in Paris.
He mentions that he is gradually attaining the necessary form to contend for top honours in Paris.
