Kevin Martins signs with Serie A side Monza

The 18-year-old striker is the son of former Nigeria international forward Obafemi Martins.

Monza are currently in 11th place in the Italian top-flight after 20 games.

Martins learned his trade in the academies of AC Milan and Inter Milan having been born in Italy.

His father enjoyed glowing career in the Serie A, where he won the title with Inter Milan before spells in the English Premier League, Bundesliga and LaLiga.

Martins junior has since made his debut in the Italian league, in Monza's 2-0 win over Padova.

A proud father paid tribute to his son on Instagram: "Congratulations my son, I'm so proud of you. I wish you a long and successful career."
